Hair removal for 11year old DD

As above really! My DD who’s starting secondary school in September is unfortunately quite dark (like me) and is getting v self conscious about the hair on her legs.

Have other people’s DD shaved/used hair removing creams etc? I did want her to wait a bit longer and wax but there’s no way I can put her through the pain just yet!

Any tips/advice would be greatly received!

Just get her a razor and teach her how to use it. I was knocking my mums razor in first year seniors.

We use cream (Superdrug own brand). I am encouraging waxing, but she's nervous of how it will feel.

I was introduced to a razor and shaving cream about that age

Cream can take a while of sitting around in the bathroom but she can shave when in the shower/bath so might prefer that

My dd uses a battery shaver in her legs. I figured it's safer than a razor and less messy and dangerous than creams.

That’s what I’m possibly thinking! Thanks

Dd is going to secondary school in September as well.
She has been used hair removal cream about 3 times in the last 18 months.
3 weeks ago I bought asdas version of a lady shave to see how she got on with it.

Its so easy, I watched her the first time and she's decided she's going to do her legs every Sunday before her week at school.

I have no problem with body hair, but if she wants to get rid of it im not going to stop her. Kids (especially girls) can be nasty about that kind of thing at this age 😒

Not shaving! Such high maintenance and she’ll have to do it every few days.

If she’ll tolerate a wax do that.

I introduced my DD to hair removal cream for her armpits at 11 but waited a year or so until buying her a razor and showing her how to use it. However we never made it round to removing leg hair because DD (now 16) doesn’t get rid of any body hair at all. As for your DD I’d probably start with hair removal cream and work from there, just so she gets used to the movements without the risk of cutting herself. It might be worth asking her what she wants to do though.

This may be extreme but there is a home electrolysis machine that I've heard good things about! I guess it's a bit young to make permanent decisions about body hair.. but I wished I got my legs lasered as a teen lol would've save me so much anxiety
