Hello ,
I have a son about 10 years, he is always alone at home with her 6 year old sister. He is desperate for school he misses his friends. We are in an area there no children in his age outside.. he is always on ipad, or playstation.
I tried to find his friends online in way that he can speak with them but couldn't.

Hi is there anyway he can talk to school friends? Are the school setting work online on purple mash? I know they can send messages through there. Could you e mail his teacher to say he is lonely and see if she has any ideas. Its so hard to see them lonely :( how about taking him down to a local park when its sunny. There he can make friends.

Speak to the school - they will be keen to help out with mental health issues, which loneliness could well lead to. Ask them to pass on your number to the parents of two or three specific friends so that you can arrange for them to meet up. Does he not have any online classes or contact with other pupils via google classroom or something?

Hi, our DS (11) is isolated in lockdown, has been reluctant to see people in real life but misses his 2 close friends from school. He and the friends have a regular arrangement to talk to eachother via HouseParty whilst also playing Minecraft servers together. So they can see eachother's avatars in the game and also chat over the top. It doesn't always go smoothly and it's interesting to hear some conflict resolution happening if they behave unfairly! But it keeps their relationship alive and gives them something to talk about so there's no awkwardness.

Would something similar work for your son?
