Advice on sex talk

My DS is 10 and despite the number of parental controls we have on various devices at home I've just come to notice that his phone was not secure for the last couple of months. Having looked through his history I have seen that the last week he has been looking at videos on pornhub!
I feel like such a failure for not being on top of this and now he has been exposed to things that is completely inappropriate for his age!
I know I need to sit down with him and talk but I really have no idea how to even start the conversation.
Does anyone have any tips or advice???

Common sense media is a really useful website for tips and advice.
I would just be fairly straight talking and make sure they know it’s acting in porn and that sex in real life is nothin like that.

Just want to add that this is exactly what happened with my then 10 year old last summer. She had a mixture of emotions when I spoke to her about it but I reassured her it was normal to be curious and talked to her about how porn doesn't represent what sex actually is. I'd already spoken to her about sex and relationships a couple of years before.

There were a few weeks where I had to explain some interesting terminology to her that she'd seen (her dad scappered at every opportunity Smile).

In lockdown, her younger brother started asking questions about sex so it's been a very educational year!
