Magazines/Newspapers for 11-14

Hi all, just stocking up my school library, currently we don't have many magazines/comics etc. What do your 11-14 year olds like?
My DS peaks at Paw Patrol magazines so I'm a bit unsure.

Currently have a subscription to Aquila which I love but not sure what the students think of it and a teen mindfulness one that I can't remember the name of right now. Any other suggestions?

Sorry to take you to task, but what prevents you from finding out whether they think Aquila is worth having or not?

What would have been of use and interest to the teens I know? Subscriptions to major newspapers from each continent (and enforced browsing time amongst them). Endless printed matter related to their GCSE languages.

Everything else, tbh, they get on their phones.

Is this for fun reading? The younger ones will probably still like The Phoenix and The Beano. Older ones - football magazines maybe? Is Match still around? I read one called Blocks with is about Lego. Aimed at adults but is fine for younger readers. Ones like Top Gear maybe?

@SurpriseSparDay
It's half term/ I just lost my librarian and it was something to think about whilst I couldn't sleep.

When I hire a new one I shall be sure to get them to do some student voice. I was just interested in what parents of teens think

First news is brilliant for this age - or teen breath for girls more perhaps

Our school library had The Guardian, the Telegraph and the local rag. Magazines were of the educational type - National Geographic and the like. This was a while ago though. Why not consult the children?

My 12 year old reads the papers now. He also reads The Week junior (and when no-one's looking, The Beano), but really enjoys reading adult papers.

My 11yr old gets The Week Jnr, which he enjoys

My 11 year ld loves The Week Junior too!

My DS and DD both love Aquila, kids at my school (year 6, 10 and 11 year olds) always go for that first unless they are football mad! It’s also great for starting discussions and sparking further interest. I can’t see why this wouldn’t continue with older teens.
