It’s been reccomended by our school as a parenting programme- I am thinking of trying it as we are having some terrible issues with our 12 yr old DD which I think is not being helped with our parenting which seems to have amounted to nothing more than shouting, anger and crying

I’ve not heard of that OP, it certainly seems worth a try.

Have a look at the book Untangled too. My DD is 12 and it was recommended to me by another Mum who has a slightly older DD. It’s certainly helped us Thanks

I run these programmes and others. Triple P is good. Solihull - understanding your child is my preference and you are also able to do it online if you can't find a course near you.

Thanks both, you can do the PPP online now at a cost of £75. I’ll have a look at Untangled too - at this stage I’m willing to try anything to be honest!

@The2Ateam I'm not sure where you live but Solihull is free to all Northlan Residents by use of a North Lan postcode and a reference code that you can get from your school if northlan

I live in a socially deprived area and they are still running the triple P courses in my area free! I told my neighbour about it last year.

Just shows how highly they must recommend them to parents if the council foots the bill.

My friend went years ago and said it was really good as it gave her more coping strategies that gave better control in difficult situations. I think her kids were primary she at the time. It was a while ago. She said it also reminded her what she should be doing that she forgot about when life got in the way, and got her back on track. She recommends to anyone who’ll listen!
