Shampoo/conditioner for pre-teen boy (hair dry/thick)

What shampoo does your DS use if their hair is thick and on the dry/coarse side? All suggestions I've found online are geared towards those at the greasy hormonal stage.

DS is only just starting to think about toiletries and has a school residential coming up. He's a bit self conscious about having the 'wrong' stuff.

Any suggestions? I generally try and avoid parabens/SLS but on this occasion, I mostly don't want him to have stuff deemed 'uncool'. His classmates are all 11/12.

Ds uses a loreal mens 2 in 1 - triple resist (they also do an anti dandruff one). It's on offer in Morrison's just now. He also uses an Aussie mens one but says that leaves his hair feeling dry sometimes

to be honest the boys don't really seem to care about the brands of shampoo/conditioner, it seems to be more about the body wash (lynx)

Although you do get 3 in 1 products that are for hair, body, face of he'd prefer just taking 1 bottle

My ds has never expressed interest in lynx thank goodness. He uses the Nivea stuff shown above but does use separate shampoo (the loreal one)

Thanks everyone! I'm hoping he never starts expressing an interest in lynx...
