Best cream for pre teen spots

DS (11) is starting to get a bit of red, spotty skin on the sides of his nose.
He's been washing face with Cetaphil gentle cleanser which I think has helped a bit.
Any recommendations for the sore red skin?

If it is sore I would out some sudocream on it. My dd regularly uses this on sore spots.
I bought her some sebamed moisturiser for Christmas after a recommendation on here but she has not tried it yet.
We also bought some 'the ordinary' moisturiser from boots.

Of course, good old Sudocrem, will try that. Thanks
