She’s not really asked for anything. She’s going to the cinema and for a meal with her friends so I have told her she won’t be getting much.

I was thinking a printer for her phone and some scrapbooking things?

‘Designer’ hoodie
Fitbit
Some money for clothes when the new summer stuff comes out
It’s hard when birthdays are close to Christmas.

She did get here holister jumper for Xmas and loved it, so maybe another one? Or similar.

It’s so hard, especially as there’s stuff she hasn’t even looked at since Xmas 😑

A Costa voucher always forgoes down well with my DD.

How about a couple of books, Lush stuff and a trip somewhere?

My DD wants this particular journal, can't remember the name now but it's about £20.
Art stuff. Kids seem to like these expensive watercolour pens.

My DD's favourite presents were headphones and a Go Henry card with money on it.

Have a look on groupon for discounts on the cinema and meal as there are loads on there.

Ohh she has a go henry that she loves! May put abit more money on that. She loves her wireless (not apple 😑) EarPods things.

My DD is 11 in a few weeks & she is getting:

Tv with dvd player from her room
Phone upgrade (currently sim only with really old handset)
Teddy bear fleece bedding
Harry potter house banner
Harry potter house sweatshirt
Harry potter house scarf

Few items of clothing (that I picked up in sales during the year - no brands just New Look, Peacocks etc)

Probably some little bits like new pens, drawing pad, fluffy socks, nail varnish etc

Lottie doll outfit from Dbro

Not sure what my DSis is getting for her.

Trampoline park & sleepover with 1 friend as a party.

Crikey at that age I got some new boobs, some new LEGO sets and the latest Pokémon game so I don’t think I’ll be much help. 😂

A relative of mine is a similar age though, and she’s into make-up, Harry Potter merch, New Look clothes and collectible things that you either smell or squash?

Boobs? 😳 I meant books!

Clothes: something more expensive than normal that will last a while eg boots, nice jeans or nice hoodie

Ah yes that was the other thing - ask her what type of shoes are “in” at the moment, Nike/Adidas are a good call

My DD is 12 and some of the things she got for her birthday and Christmas were stationary, books, Fitbit, phone cases, hair scrunchies, bath bombs, charms for nomination bracelet, nail varnish, Bluetooth speakers for her room. Hope that gives you some ideas!

Roller blades, h+m jumper, books were hits with my 12yr old for Christmas.
Oh and acrylic pens to draw on anything - has loved decorating tumblers and jam jars.
She likes fimo too.
Baking stuff as well.

She’s asked for a skateboard but I’d rather not get one. She won’t use it and we have nowhere really for her to do it lol

If she's asked for a skateboard get her a penny board. My dd got one when she was 9 and loved it.

DD got concert tickets, Bakedin subscription, animal adoption, travel mug, clothes, more Harry Potter stuff I really liked plus notebooks.

She also got Adriana Grande perfume, some make up sets, books and some money to save for our trip to Universal in May.

She loves shopping at New Look.

My year 7 got some games, Quirkle, Colour Brain and Articulate - she liked those. She also loved gift cards for a shopping trip, lush / body shop smellies, Harry Potter paraphernalia and her Jack Wills hoodie.

My 12yo DD got a weighted blanket and also wanted blending pens - we went with Letraset Promarkers which are a balance between decent and cheap. Chameleon are better but pricey

Sorry to derail the thread here but where are the good places to get Harry Potter merchandise please? My children are going to a birthday party end of the month and the birthday girl is really into Harry Potter. Many thanks.

No idea about her birthday but maybe go and get her a proper current account and get rid of go Henry.

I’d do what zoo says too. My 12yo has a Nationwide account. She has a card and a mobile app and it pays 1 percent interest.

The go henry has been absolutely fine, she’s had it a year and it works well for us x

It's just unnecessary, that's all. It's a gimmick. A gimmick that costs you money and offers none of the flexibility of an actual bank account.
