Please help!
Our son has just turned 11 and is ruling our home with his constant rudeness and attitude.
He has just started high school and his parents evening revealed that he is a model pupil so I don't know why we have so many issues with him at home.
He is an only child who has been horrendously spoilt by grandparents his whole life, although recently even they have started to notice his rude and entitled behaviour and are reluctant to have him over to stay the night etc
We frequently go on days out and he has everything a child could even want!
We have done the usual punishments of taking away his phone, PlayStation etc but nothing improves his behaviour. We can't ask him to do anything without it ending in a huge argument (for example, cleaning his nails)
His personal hygiene is awful and we have to constantly fight with him to make sure he is clean. At this age should he not be taking care of his own personal hygiene?
He doesn't spend hours on technology (when he hasn't lost it) and always gets 9 hours sleep a night.
I just don't know what else we can do to make our home a happier place,
