Parenting book recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a good parenting book for pre teens? I've got a 10 year old that is suddenly becoming very tricky in all sorts of ways! I feel like I need some fresh ideas of how to deal with him and a bit of knowledge about what goes on in their heads at this age.
I tried searching Amazon but they are mostly American books and i'm not sure how well they relate to British life for this age group.
