My 11 year old has been waking up in the middle of the night and it takes her an hour or 2 to get back to sleep. This is playing havoc with her day as she’s someone who needs lots of sleep, and she is finding it hard to concentrate at school.
It used to happen a few times a week but since starting secondary school it’s now every night, so it might be anxiety, or is it hormones? She is going to be 12 soon.
What can I do to help her? Sometimes she’s so tired and grumpy. I have Headspace on my phone and there is a going back to sleep exercise, but I’m not sure if putting a phone on in the middle of night is a good idea.
