What can I say?! What a nightmare year it’s been getting my son ready for the 11 plus only for the paper to have two big mistakes in it and Bucks apologising for the errors! - an exam written by adults which even they can’t do themselves!

Omg 2mistakes???

I've been through the 11+ for the past 2 consecutive years and I feel your pain.

At least everyone was in the same boat but that is still shocking.

Good luck to your son on results day.

I read about that. Mines about to jump on the bandwagon next year. I’m not looking forward to it.

It appears the issue is they weren’t in the same boat, some were told, some weren’t. Some were told during, some before. Some even got extra time and a chance to chat during the exam. Some weren’t told and got stuck wasting valuable time on those questions. If you were the afternoon you had them crossed out.

It’s appears to have been a bloody shambles.

That sounds bloody awful!

I wonder whether it will be taken into account re marking?

SaveKevin · 28/09/2019 10:48

I am not sure how it can because each test centre dealt with it so differently. There were two papers affected, 2 questions on the English and 1 practise one on the verbal (I think).
There was rumour of a retest but that’s been dismissed as unnecessary. Although it seems wholly necessary to me.

They are too young for this shit, they really are.

That’s AWFUL
