DD 5 is driving me insane. She seems to be moody and tantrums a lot of the time.
Yesterday we went to the park after school. It was very hot so I said 10 minutes.
At 8 minutes I told her she had two left so she said last go on the climbing frame.
10 minutes in I told her it was time to go and she completely ignored me so I took her hand and told her firmly it's time to go.
Cue crying all the way (5 min but felt like lots longer ) home.
This is just one example.
My friends DD is moody too but she's 6. Is it a girl thing? I also have 2 boys and I don't remember them bring moody apart from toddlers and teenage years.

It's the heat. Coming towards end of term most children are tired and need a break. I always think the term is a week or two too long for my DC.

In that kind of situation I would have said 3 minutes more or whatever.....and then be strict if she refused to come after that.

I'm nit sure it's moody, it's hot, tired and irritable at the end of term!
