Family Chores

I've spat my dummy out and decided that out of 4 people who live in this house, I am the only one who actually does anything to maintain the house and our lives. I cook, clean, wash etc plus keeping on top of our front garden and back yard (house is rented). DP works shifts but whatever time off he has usually involves working on his cars. Anyway, DS is 12 and DSD is 11. Son is lazy but capable, stepdaughter is only just learning to do things for herself as she has grown up having everyone do things for her and now just needs to be shown stuff, although I have no patience at all and get very snappy because I struggle having to explain things that are common sense. She doesn't live with us full time. I have decided that everyone needs to pitch in and take responsibility for some chores. My question is, how do I go about drawing up a list, how do I make sure everyone is doing it and how can I learn to step back and let them get on with it, without interfering/my way is best attitude! Obviously with the kids the main thing is going to be keeping on top of their rooms but think they should be able to be responsible for putting bins out, putting a wash on etc.
