This is my first time posting on here in a long time .
I just looking for advise from anyone . My 11 year old son was in hospital last weekend with bacterial trachetitus (similar symptoms to croup) , breathing funny high temp and coughing up gunk . Anyway he got steriods and antibiotics and after a week is in mend . The first night he was on steriods he woke in night saying he heard loud noises in his head and was scared . It never last long and I thought it was just the bug or steriods making him all funny . He never had it again
However last night the same happened . He came into me to say he woke up with a right start and heard all funny noises and sounds in his head . I took him with me in spare room and he was ok in 5 mins and fell asleep.
Another bit of info is my husband auntie died this week and it was his first experience of death really .
Anyone know what this could be . I googled and it seems like it might be just a sleep things similar to night terror or something called exploding head 🤯 syndrome which is like when you jolt awake
He is scared to go to bed tonight too and I said I would go with him
I never had sleep issues with him before
Any help appreciated
