Preteens
first bra for sensitive skin

I think my nearly-10 year old is starting to develop breasts, she's a little overweight and I put it down to that, but I think now it's definitely buds starting. In some of her slimmer-fitting tops you can see her shape, she's totally unaware and unselfconscious about it and I don't want to impose feelings of embarrassment on her. When she is ready for a bra though, I know we'll strugle to find something she can wear as she has very sensitive skin and any lace on vests etc has irritated her skin in the past. Does anyone know of somewhere you can get very very simple cotton first bras with no fancy bits?

Can she not just start with crop tops? Dd had soft ones in a sports bra style when she first needed a bit more support

M&S do a few cotton-rich ones in their Angel range.
My DD liked the non-cotton ones - very soft with no scratchy bits.

yes, sorry I should've said crop tops rather than bra...she has never worn anything up til now as most things irritate her skin. I'll look at M&S thanks x

My DD has some very plain cotton ones from M&S and they've been fine
