Sleepovers....how often do you host?

Just wondering what other people do regarding sleepovers....do you host outside of birthdays ? Does the number increase during school holidays ? On average how many children stay ? Is this something you offer or is the request led by DC? I know lots of questions 😀

We host sleepovers every half term and 3 in the summer holidays.

Oh and 2 children stay over which makes 4 in total.

DD has sleepovers with her BFF every holidays inc half term as they don’t go to the same school - she’s 12 now and they’ve done this for about 5 years. Her BFFs family and us take it in turns.

Her group of friends from secondary usually do a sleepover once in the main holidays outside birthdays - so x 3 per year and we take in turns so only once a year.

It seems to be a girl thing in this house. DS (15) has never had sleepovers outside his birthday, and hasn’t had birthday ones since he went to secondary either.

My eldest DC is little darling for requesting last minute sleepovers normally when the friends are present which puts me on the spot. I normally comply but thought I'd see what others thought before I turn this ask down. She is having one on Halloween.

All the bloody time!! I would say at least 2 or 3 each DD per month, if one has a friend the other wants one too, so they usually both have people here. Usually 1 or 2 friends each, more at birthdays. I really don't mind, they are both at high school now so it means I still get to know all of their friends and they are never any bother.

BFF sleeps over about once every 8 weeks with one at hers on between. None others yet and not been asked so planning on keeping it that way

Couple of times per child per month, ie pretty much on request.

With her out of school bff once every other months or so, depending on DD’s scout activity and her friend’s swimming schedule. We take turn in hosting.

She just started secondary and one of her friends mentioned one but ai actually do not know the girl yet and I suggested some time during the day for movies etc first before jumping into sleepovers.

If the school thing starts it will be 3 extra children, sigh...

Never. My dc's fight too much.

My dc fight less when they have friends over. Generally (unless one of mine is away) they have one friend each and once every 2-3 months.
