Sex and relationships book for a 12yo boy

I've never needed to go down the 'book' route with any of my other children, but this ds is proving...different. He is awaiting assessment for ASD, which I'm sure influences things. Anyway, he can't get his head around the idea that people have sex other than to have children, and that you don't have sex once and, hey presto, you're pregnant. He understands about puberty and consent. It's the sex part he's struggling with.

I'd leave it for the time being, but he keeps asking me questions. I do my best to answer, but, by his questions and statements, he's clearly not getting it, and it bothers him.

I wish there was an Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret for boys!

Can anyone recommend a book that could help ds (and me!)?

Can you speak to your school’s SENCO?

When DD was in primary and they had the sex Ed talk we had a note in the reply slip that the SENCO also can give book recommendations if anyone felt their child may need to have a different approach.

Background is that DD’s school, being mainstream, had classes for children with ASD or other SEN who couldn’t cope with normal classes so their SENCO had lots of materials or could recommend books.
