Hi my DD is ten next month and has started to get the dreaded pimples on her nose - no where else, just her nose. Seems so unfair! What skincare products/routine do you all recommend?
Thanks

Dd got a couple of spots around the same age and I got her using Avene Cleanance - a wash off cleanser in the shower and the micellar one if she was in a hurry in the mornings. In haven't introduced any more products but the cleansing seems to have worked and hasn't had any more spots.

Hi thanks for replying - do you mean Aveeno? I can't seem to find the product you refer to but we use the moisturiser and I really like it - would you mind just checking what the face cleanser is called in the bottle? Thanks in advance

Mine has an older teenage sibling - we use a touch of her Duac cream, clears it up quickly.

My 10 year old DD has lots of sore acne-type spots on her forehead and a black-heads on her nose. We're trying Savlon as they are sore. She has very sensitive skin so I'm worried about more traditional 'spot cream' type products. OP, how did you get on with the product recommended above?

Dollygirl2008 · 19/12/2018 22:07

Hi Naomi
I went for the one that was recommmended here

go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=www.avene.co.uk/face/products-for-daily-use/oily-and-blemish-prone-skin/cleanance-cleansing-gel

As it is supposed to be gentle and it's suiting her. I've also been recommended the body shop seaweed face wash but I think it's all trial and error. If they are really sore, maybe a trip to the GP would be an idea?

This preteen stage is a challenge isn't it!!! Let us know how you get on

Thanks for the advice! DD has started washing her face daily with very mild cleansing gel (we've been using Sukin) which has really helped.
