What is everyone doing about screen time in summer holidays?

Dd is 11, just finished Year 6. We have already had rows over the amount of screen time. She'll watch a good bit of TV, then check her phone, then suddenly need to do a bit of online shopping on the computer.

I'm thinking of putting a daily limit of ALL screens over the summer. Has anyone done this and how much is reasonable? We've got various things planned over the coming weeks but it's when we're home the screens annoy me.

For this week, while we are away, ds can have screen time between 9am and bed although we are out most days for at least 6 hours. And there’s no internet so he’s limited by that.
For the rest of the summer he can’t take his tablet to holiday club so he’ll be screen free between 9am & 5pm.

For the first week, I tend to leave them to it. DD is away with Guides this week so no screen time, then she’s home for 2 nights and we go away together but there’ll be no screen time there either as we’ll be in the middle of nowhere. We’ll have a few days out when we get back but I’ve ni idea how much to give her on the days she’s home. Maybe a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the evening?

Thanks. I do use Qustodio for her phone so you can limit time on WhatsApp and so on. But it doesn't shut it down completely so she can still play games after the time limit.

I don't fight screen time but I do make sure we are out and about enough that they don't spend too long staring at a screen. Luckily my kids are happy to get away from computers.
