I'm not ready for dd1 to grow up! No other signs of puberty but can anyone suggest a deodorant for kids?

Got my dd a pitrok push up deodorant- 100% natural mineral salts, it stops the bacteria that causes smells, needs to be applied to clean armpits though. Comes in a few varieties all chemical free. Not as effective at stopping swearing as some but great at stopping smells.

I use Native Unearthed both the mineral rock and the balm. Both work really well with the smell and are totally natural.

I don't use them both at the same time... just one or the other.

Sounds odd but if you switch to bars of soap not shower gel you might not need deodorant yet. My dd developed a strong ‘reaction’ with sweat as she was coming into puberty, but daily showers with proper soap definitely made a difference.

Sebamed soap is brilliant! I used to use that really strong cream deodorant but just use a quick roll on now I've switched from shower gel

Just get her to wash more, with soap.
Seriously deodorants contain all sorts of chemicals, don’t use them before you have to.

Pitrok - DD started using aged 7 and 2.5 yrs later it's still effective and less harmful than other alternatives.
Washing more doesn't work if they shower every morning (&evening in the summer!) - I have a healthy active 10 year old - it's not practical for her to shower in the day at school - this stops her smelling and feeling paranoid

Our dd has been using 'Salt of the earth' since she was 6. I think I saw it on here and it's really good.

I would not use the mineral salt ones. They naturally contain a much higher concentration of aluminium than other non-natural deodorants. Salt of the Earth deodorant for instance contains Potassium Alum and Pitrok push up contains Ammonium Alum.

Buy one which states "aluminium free" but also check the label. Weleda is a very good brand that uses safe ingredients, so do Lavera and Logona. Jasön and Sukin are safe too.
