So beloved 11 yo daughter tells me that a female musician she was 'sort of' interested has been accused of 'raping' another female artist - says it was a Twitter thing... She's not on Twitter, but friends told her about it.

I looked it up and it's a pretty bizarre story, but should I discuss it further with my daughter or just leave it alone?

How do you protect children from this stuff? Even without accessing the platforms where the awful content occurs; it seeps through in their chat!!

If she’s brought it up, I would discuss it with her. Agree with you though, no matter what you do, they do get to hear about some pretty strange stuff.

Yes I'd talk to her about it it's s good chance to talk about consent and how you don't have to do anything you don't want to just to make someone else happy.
