How many hours are kids playing on tablets/computer systems/phones during this summer holiday?

My 9 year old could go from ps4 to tablet to phone and if we go out, wants to take the tablet with us and watch films in the car etc.

Is it just my son who loves screens soooo much????

Same as before holidays pretty much, maybe a bit more as they use devices when in the car.

When they go back normal routine resumes anyway. Both will have stacks of homework.

My 12 year old turned off his phone at the beginning of the holidays and hasn't had any screen time since. Weirdo. Grin

Try not to worry, I'm sure it was the same with the first game consoles. It might be a bit of a shock to the system, but school work comes first.

My kids are the same, it's like a starry night if the lights are off and everything is charging. They do share which is good, they take turns to try and beat scores. They'll sit together at the computer.

I'm hoping once DD becomes an official teenager they still get on.

allegretto - what magic did you use for that?

I don't think I can claim to have influenced him. He's always been like that (although we don't have any games consoles which helps). He's football crazy so spends most of his time kicking a ball around.

Mine 13 and 10 could be an hour or so each night. During the day they were busy doing other things but they liked to watch something at night. My DD who is younger is more glued to her screens than DS. I do try and limit it to an hour at a time but I know there were times when she was on for longer . Back to school now and she's hardly touched her phone too busy with clubs and homework it was off charge all weekend x

My DS is the same, he would be on his PS4 all day if I let him. He comes off the PS4, straight to the tablet phone etc. Back to school now so an hour a day after school l, longer on weekends
