Does anyone else feel like they aren't emotionally cut out to the parent of a preteen?

I'm constantly worrying about my child being lonely. She can be quite introvert at times and is quiet happy to be alone most of the time. I always overthink squabbles at school and worry about her socially.

Please tell me I'm not the only one?

You are definitely not alone in this. I too feel emotionally out of my depth at times. From my experience the best thing to do is make home life as loving as possible with plenty of bonding activities so your kids know you always have their back.

I think I just worry because she went from such a confident girl to having good a shyness about her. She isn't unhappy though, she is happy enough doing her own thing with friends that have the same interest, she doesn't have to be surrounded by friends though.

I think I forget what it's like to be at school and easy dynamics change. I've always been a worrier but it's ten times worse when the kids are involved haha.
