Do you have a child or know anyone who is aged between 12 and 18?

I am working on a research project looking at the development of emotion perception and emotion regulation in adolescence and young adulthood, and I am currently seeking to recruit volunteers aged between 12 and 18 to participate in my study. Volunteers who wish to participate will be required to complete a series of questionnaires and a computer task and will receive monetary compensation for their time.

The University conducts police criminal records checks on all researchers (including me) working with children and young people. Furthermore, our research has been reviewed by University’s Psychology Ethical Review committee (www.psy.gla.ac.uk/research/?sub=4) to ensure that it meets ethical guidelines and poses minimal risk to participants. Studies involving children and young people are subject to the fullest review by the committee and parental consent will be sought prior to inviting individuals under the age of sixteen. After taking part in the study, volunteers will be given an information sheet to take home outlining in more detail the purpose of the study. Parents who would like further information about the study should email: [email protected]
