Hi, I have just joined and my first post! I have a strong willed beautiful 12 year old who now has a boyfriend and the drama is ridiculous! I want to stop her seeing him but also don't want to push her away - our whole life as a family revolves around her moods - please tell me I'm not alone! Xx Sara

It won't last for long, relationships at 12 scarcely do, so sit out for this one and only get involved if your daughter is upset and confides in you. Keep the lines of communication open, give her the whole "now you have a boyfriend you should know..." talk, it's never too early and good luck!

Definitely don't try and stop her it won't work and she will just see him anyway.
