Computer events/fairs - Midlands

My ds loves the computer - inventing games etc, all beyond me. Does anyone know any computer/techie shows/events I can take him to - more computer than xbox/os gaming events?

I would suggest contacting one of the British Computer Societies branches in the Midlands perhaps Coventry or Birmingham.
