She went out at 10 this morning and didn't come back until 7.30 apart from scheduled check in times and for supplies

She's been playing in the woods and at the park that are a few minutes down the road

Dens have been built, swings have been jumped off, friendships have been formed -and technology has not been touched

She starts high school in September but its so nice that she's got time to be a child

I love this weather!

Exactly the same with my DD. We live in the forest and as I was walking near our house, I saw her name carved into the tree- just what I would have done at her age! Smile

Yay to a mum who lets their child out to play. Better than technology, better than clubs. Your D will also have learnt complex social skills, problem solving, indepence skills , language and cognitive development. Plus had the best time ever. Sorry - guess who works with kids ! Your post made me smile.

This post made me smile, its beautiful weather here too and mine came in happy and tired smelling of outside.

JugglingLife · 10/04/2015 09:35

Oh yes, mine too, she seems to have been out for days on end, it's just lovely. Can't wait for my 7 year old to be able to do the same. He's confined to the cul-de-sac for the moment. Happy days.
