Her 1st period is on the way. very hormonal, 13 next month. But the came to me this morning and showed me some blood (sorry TMI) and I said "are you okay?" And she replied "I DO know what it is!!". Not enough for protection but its started........

Oh heck!

Congrats (?)to your dd! Maybe a quick chat about keeping pads in bags etc?

My 12 year old started hers last month. I asked if she was ok, I made sure she had pads, I gave her hug and then I had a cry.

DD is only in Year 6 (just turned 11) and said that a few girls in her class have started. So just to be on the safe side (I'm not concerned as she is hairless and flat chested but she's worried about embarrassing herself) she keeps a miniature make-up bag with different pads in it in case she starts at school. Might be a good idea for your DD.
