Is there an app I can put on my kids phone to show me where they are?

If they have an iPhone on the same iTunes account as you, you could always use Find My iPhone.

Its an Android phone

on iphone we use life 360 it is great and free for 2 people to link.

We all have life 360 on our android phones, it gives great peace of mind as I can track dd anywhere.

Dh agrees with life 360, at the moment we use android device manager which is pretty much the same as iphone's find my iphone.

Ds1 has just started secondary school so we used it to check he got to school safely as he is walking and crossing some busy roads.

We use the android device manager as Ds1's phone is a crappy smartphone so we didn't want any apps eating his battery.

It only tells you where the phone is though, not the child so if they leave it in their locker that is where the phone is We also wanted it in case Ds1's phone got stolen so we could tell the police exactly where it was.

If you have Android phones, you don't need to install any apps, just configure your location sharing.

There are apps to locate phones.
They can make the child feel untrusted if used to track the child and not the phone.
They can also be switched off or don't work in some buildings/areas.
You are stepping into big brother territory if used to track the child and can cause a parent to become obsessed with checking it.

My DD has samsung young y.Do I use the same way mobile tracker or if anyone knows how do I do it.
I am not techno smart at all.
