PS3 Question

Hi, I'm new to the forum and am finding my way around so apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I am a foster carer and have an 11 year old (almost 12) boy recently placed with me - he's bought along his PS3 and we've got it connected to a SMART TV today, he's got time limits for games but tonight he asked me to connect it to the internet / WIFI so before I agreed to anything I said I needed to check out the safety aspect....so my question is what can he actually access via his PS3 if I input my WIFI password? Also I know you can set parental controls on a PS3 but what do I do if he's done that himself preventing me from accessing it?

Thanks for reading

Jo

It's so he can play against his friends online. Vastly improves the experience, and a lot of games won't function without this feature.
