Nothing - it's all part of the learning curve.

She'll start a new fashion trend (knowing 12yo girls).

She has wanted a fringe cut in for a while but is now worrying the hair dresser will ask questions and be all judge mental as the one we went to where they made the mistake has closed

don't go to judgemental hairdressers!

just wait for it to grow. She shaved it herself, her problem. If she sees it as a problem.

If she's managing to hide it, I'm not sure what you're asking?

But having shed many many tears over bloody stupid and over enthusiastic/slip-shod, scissor happy haircutters in the past, I sympathise with her. Having a haircut you're unhappy with at 12 must be horrible. For her sake, find a hair cutters who doesn't 'accidentally' make a mess of her hair.

If you mean, 'how can you cover up the hole she has created in her hair' then I think you can get little hair pieces you can clip in. I saw one of these once, belonging to woman who had no hair growth on a piece of scalp re previous surgery. No idea where you get them from.

Or some kind of hat? Or a hairgrip to hold the surrounding hair in a certain way? Or she just toughs it out.

My DS, when about 10, had a beautiful haircut (taken by DH) which he hates as it was far too short for him. He spent days in tears, and ehen he wasn't crying he was making plans to kill the hair cutter (who didn't listen to the customer but talked about his hair cutting qualifications a lot). DS left a very angry review on the salon's website. Three times.
