10 year old DD and stomach pains - possibly period related?

She's had stomach cramps on and off for the last few days - nothing else. She's been eating normally and going to the loo regularly.She's tall for her age but not really showing any development otherwise. Also we're having awful shouty outbursts - I do think her hormones are simmering...

It's hard to say. If she's been going through puberty for a while, then there's always a possibility. If you haven't already, give her a pad and clean pair of pants in a bag just in case she starts at school and doesn't want to tell anyone and generally get her prepared for it.

Otherwise, just generally keep an eye on her. If she's having lots of shouty outbursts, it could be something like tension - is she doing her SATs at the moment - a lot of them are and there seems to be so much pressure.
