11... will he make it to 12!

So, the 11 yr old strops are getting more advanced, every thing I ask is met with 'attitude' or at their worst major torrents of swear words and screaming. I don't bother to rise to it, but what are your rules/snctions for this age (getting tired of the 'potty mouth' especially)

Feel your pain - ds is just coming up to 10 and there are days when getting him to do anything is a major effort. I try to think in advance now whether I really do want to ask him to do something but once I ask, I make sure he damn well does it no matter how much effort it costs me.
