11 year old uncle in bath with baby niece. Wrong?

Hello*My DD is 3months old and my ex/her father has let his 11 year old brother in the bath naked with her.
I am not a prude at all but I feel very uncomfortable with this as 11 year old is way to old to be doing this but my ex says im being stupid and is going to continue to do this. What's your views?

My friend has 3 kids and they all bathed together until recently; 11,5 and 2.

How the hell they all fit in I don't know, but I don't think it's sinister.

I assume you are objecting because of some sort of pedophile concerns? Totally wrong if you are.
However, I wouldn't be happy if the 11 year old were responsible for giving the bath to the baby as too young to safely do so. Is your dh giving the actual bath?

mumblechum, when we were wee, myself, 2 brothers and a sister all aged between 2 and 9 used to bath together! Luckily we were all skinny wee runts :)

Depends if your major worry is sexual or there not being an adult present to ensure a 3 month doesn't slip, ie an extra pair of hands on board rather than the 11 year olds

Uncle/sibing no difference at that age really.

I wouldn't be overly happy about such a tiny baby sharing a full sized bath with someone else though, but thats just me.

tbh OP I think you are a bit weird even thinking that an 11 year old boy would have thoughts in that way about a baby. If that is what you are getting at. In fact, your OP is quite gross.

11 is almost always pre-puberty for boys, even 12. 13,14 probably too old but I expect the boy would feel too old himself by then.

A three month old is tiny. How does a three month old share a bath with an 11 month old

I never thought about it sexually at all. Just think an 11 year old should be in a bath by himself. At 11 I didn't want to share even with my sis never mind anyone else. Thanks for your views that all I wanted x

Miss3rin. My DS (10, very nearly 11) will share a bath with his 3 yr old cousin as often as possible. They dote on each other, and can have lots of fun with/in water - splashing each other, blowing bubbles, and just generally messing about. I know the age of the younger child is different, but it could well be for a similar reason, especially if they don't see each other too often. I know for DS and DNeice, it isnt every bath time, and if it was I suspect they would soon be bored of it.

The only time I would be annoyed, and annoyed particularly on behalf of the older brother, would be if I found out your ex was insisting they bathed together when he had made it clear he didn't want to share his bath.

I have 2 ten year old boys and they are very innocent still. I bath them with their 3 year old brother. YABU. It is just 2 kids in the bath. 11 is still small and even an older boy is fine I think. Wouldn't bother me a jot.

You wouldn't be worried if it was an 11 year old girl and a 3mo boy would you? There isn't a difference and you shouldn't think anything of it!

I agree OP I don't think it is appropriate for an 11 year old to be bathing with a 3 month old if they are not siblings, even then I would find it a little odd, maybe not unusual, i recognise that but Not something i would think any 11 year old boy i know would be freely comfortable with and that's why I find it odd, nothing sexual or sinister but just incorrect boundaries as far as I'm concerned.

I would find it odd boy or girl to be. Honest, a tally my 10 year old niece is far more modest than my 12 year old nephew, so I would ,auberge find it more unusual if it where a girl in as far as my experience about modesty goes with children.
