My daughter is coming home from school very upset as she's being teased about her hairy upper lip
- my husband is Sri Lankan and she has inherited from him very dark, thick hair, but has quite a light skin (light olive complexion) so it's very obvious. All her (fully Sri Lankan) cousins had much darker skin so didn't worry about facial hair until much older. I can see on the postings that waxing seems to be out until they are older, I can't imagine shaving would work well (thinking of cuts, stubble etc), other posters have advised against chemical hair removal at this age, and I don't know if bleach would harm her skin. I've asked her GP about what we can do but he didn't seem to have any idea. Any advice? Thank you!
