8year old forming breasts?

My 8 year old dd has mentioned that she has little bumps under her nipples and I think they may be little glands being slightly raised. And one nipple has inverted. Is this the beginning of breasts developing and if so how fast do they grow? Sorry to sound moronic but I only got them late and suddenly.

Does anyone know anything about the above? Thanks.

Yup she's growing boobies... How fast? Don't think you can really guess, unless she has other signs of being well into puberty (I assume she's not hairy or you'd have said, but is she much taller than her peers?)

Iirc the majority of year 6 girls have a bit of boobage. my 2 were in proper bras- and nt alone in needing them- youngest was a C cup by then!

But - and I kmow this is worrying you- even dd2- who was sprouting boobs at 7, didn't start her periods till 11yrs3months.

Biggest tip I have for breast buds , if you needit, from my girls is don't shy away from the "moulded cup" type bras. You see them as " padded bras "and don't want them to be looking more busty than they are, but the girls love them - they stop little budding nipples being embarrassing and protect them if they are feeling a bit tender..

My DD was exactly the same at 8 but at nearly 14 is behind most of her year size wise and no periods yet but thats poss down to still being under 7 stone and doing lots of sport if that helps

Thanks sooooo much guys! Feel relieved! However one nipple has suddenly inverted but not the other is that strange? Other than that she is very average in terms of height and weight. If anything she is on the slim side.

My dd now 11 started to get breast bubs at 8 slowly got a tiny bit of breast tissue, even now she's only just growing out of an aa cup. Dd had changed in other ways instead, shot up filled out and become all curvy. Spots and pubes also followed the breast buds but again all happening very slowly. Things are starting to speed up a little as for her height big speed up nearly 3in in 3 months.

So of her friends seem to have changed over night in the last year so in some ways glad it's been at very slow thing for dd as she was not happy about it all to start with and now she happy with changes her bodys going though and not embarrassed like so many girls are.
