DD1 has a small amnt of darker hair in pubic area, is slightly developing breasts and seriously seems to be having mood swings... Seems so young to be having to cope with this and it's taken me by surpise - what should I do to help her and smooth the journey thru puberty?

Thanks

Hi catnipkitty, the whole puberty thing seems to come along in fits and starts. I have non identical girl twins, now aged 13. DD1 has had the darker pubic hair since about 9 but STILL doesn't need a bra. DD2 has just, this spring, started wearing one. Absolutely minute but that's a whole other thread...

Neither have had a period yet.

Has she had the Official School Talk About Sex And All That Crap yet? - some schools do it earlier than others.

I started my period at 9. Mum prepared me as she was expecting it, she was 9 too.
