When get dd fitted for a bra?

Dd (nearly 11) as been wearing crop tops and tiny bras for some time now. Comfort is the main reason due to tenderness. Mind even the primark aa cups have been a bit big. Things have changed in the last few months and I have just been to primark and brought some first bras some aa and some a cups but all are tiny. I'm amazed in find dd fits them really well. Mind I also looked in m&s and their first bras looked far bigger.

I know I should have her measured but don't want to upset her with some lady measuring and saying she's to small for a bra. Plus now she seems to be growing how often should I think about getting new bras.

DD1 (12) is small for her age and not very developed at all. She has been wearing crop tops and she has just the very smallest of breast growth. However the crop tops were digging in at the wrong places and were uncomfortable, leaving her with red lines across her chest. I took her to the lovely ladies at the underwear shop I use. They were lovely and explained that she did not really need a bra but that as the crop tops clearly did not fit they recommended a AA cup size in a small training bra.

DD was unsure but after trying one on was sold on how much better they fitted! I bought her 2 in the shop but at £10 each! We went to M&S and bought 4 more (she is very sporty) they were only £14 for the 4. However although she wears them all she says the fitted ones are by far the best fit and they look better too. It may be worth taking her to an expert just to get the advice. The ladies at my shop were happy for us not to buy anything. They advised to buy the same back size but a cupsize A when she is fully filling the cups and they are no longer comfortable but are happy to measure her again whenever.

My only advice DONT GO TO M+S!!!!

We had OK advice in John Lewis but independent shops are generally best- the real "old ladies corsets" type places. They understand or seem to.

We also had slightly duff advice but a nice experience in la senza (only really because even teeny A cup bras were underwired- they just didn't have non wired bras)

For the other end of the spectrum (I know I keep saying this) if your DD is well endowed Bravissimo are fantastic. They never commented on her age or size just fitted her and made positive comments like "you are lucky your mum understands how much a good bra that fits well is" and things like that.

Definately agree Theas18! In my own experience M&S fitters are awful, would not let them near my daughter! Little old lady shops all the way. They were lovely. The training bras they sold us were lovely too, DD1 very pleased with them.

Bit thin on the ground for places to go and get dd mesured but was thinking Debenhams. Will stick with what we've got for now but was thinking in the summer before starting secondary school. Ones we got will not be great under white shirts she'll have to wear in september.
Once they are fitted how often is it recommended to be refitted.
