Does anyone know if there is a legal age when a child can be left home alone, only for a short time after school before I get in from work my daughter is a mature 11. Thanks

There is no legal age. The guidelines only state that you can be prosecuted if there is an accident and it is judged that you have acted irresponsibly in leaving the said child. But I'd think that would be unlikely to happen in the case of an 11yo: after all, this is an age where children are expected to make their own way across town to school on public transport.

I leave my 11yo.

My almost 10yr old ds is often home for about 45 mins before anyone else depending on our shifts etc
