Can't believe we are here already but she has curves and is starting to get sore nipples .
We talk a lot but would like to get her a book she can refer to if she wants.
Any good ones out there - she is a good reader but only 8

This is a great book. In a gentle way tells girls about their changing bodies and how to to look after it. Also no sex ed if you don't want to go their yet. Brought this for dd when she was 8. She also had sore nipples and curves starting.
10 now and more curvy and little bumps for boobs. The biggest change is her height (5 inches last year and about 1 inch in the last few months). In the last month eating me out of house and home. She's already use to eat more then most of her peers and has always been skinny.

I got that book for my DDs and I love it. It's perfect for younger girls -- no sex ed as Lexcat says so the information on periods and development is just focused on the changing body and taking care of it, without the 'distraction' of sex/relationships overshadowing it. Very easy to follow and refer to. Lots of good suggestions about eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, washing hair and body, grooming, taking responsibility for your own self care...
