I am new to committee life and wondered if any of you could tell me about grants you have obtained for your settings?

I have been tasked with the job of researching potential grants we may be able to claim. Any ideas where to start looking? (We are in Gloucestershire.)

Many thanks!

Okay, your Early Yrs Dept at your County Council may have capital grants available - ours does small grants of up to £10,000.

Your County Councillor has a £10,000 budget each yr called the Empowering Cllrs Scheme.

Your District Council may give out grants.

Awards for All may be applicable.

Grass Roots funding should be available.

See if you have any local charitable trusts - there will be a directory in your nearest big library.

Hope that helps - what is the purpose of the grant?

In our area the Co-oP often give out community grants as do the local building society.
