Well ds started in jan and he had never been away from me, he was just 3. he has taken to it like a duck to water, no tears, not even once.

Im hoping thats how my ds will be just a bit worried as hes going through a shy phase at the minute but hopefully he'll come out of his shell once he's at nursery .

I think im going to be the one crying though

I cried when I got home! I blamed the pregnancy hormones but I think I would have done it even if I wasnt pregnant!!

Ds is still going through a shy phase and will hide behind our elgs etc but loves nursery?!

As a former preschool teacher I will assure you that you will not be the only one who is nervous about their child starting, and your feelings are not silly. We have had a lot of tears from parents (not so many of the children!!) on the first day.

If you have worries, share them with the staff (no matter how daft you think they are), they will go out of their way to reassure you and let you know how your son is doing. He's about to enter a really exciting new phase for him, look forward to watching him shine. I hope he enjoys himself, the staff will be doing their best to make sure he does.

We go for an induction day next week so i'm hoping to feel more at ease after that.
I just can't believe he's at this stage already it has flew by i'm sure its going to be fun though.
Thank you for the reassurance though good to know i'm not the only one who was worried about this .
