My nursery child has just brought home homework. Ok its only to make a picture. But it seems weird to me. Any experience of this.

It's not really homework. It's to establish school-home links to involve you in his learning.

If you want to do this with him/her then o.k. plus child needs to enjoy it. If not - don't do it!!

If he fancies doing it, do it. If not, not.

Without knowing exactly what's been asked of you it's difficult to say, but I'd tend to agree with purepurple that it is more about establishing links than 'doing homework'. Plus most children love it!
If you're concerned have a word with the staff, they won't mind!

My dd (nearly 4) brings home home work from nursery, its things like tracing letters and dot-to-dots and she loves doing.
I'd say dont push dc to unless they want to do it though

I hope purepurple is right. I'm surprised that primary schools set homework, never mind nursery school!
Mindboggling.
