Playgroups in Worcester - any recommendations?

Does anyone know of a good playgroup in North Worcester please? We are near a Leapfrog Day Nursery but I really wanted a friendly morning or afternoon playgroup for DS rather than a nursery.

In fact, any toddler group suggestions gratefully received as we are new to the area.

Thank you.

Sorry, I don't know any, but wanted to say hello as I live just outside Worcester, and have only been in the area 2 years

Not to worry CMOT (love the name by the way). There are obviously lots of groups around, just easier to get info from Mums who already know. I shall use my usual trial and error approach - if we don't like it, we don't go back.

There are quite a few MNetters in Worcester - Littlefish, Washersauraus and others. Hopefully they'll turn up and be useful (unlike me)

Woodgreen church playgroup inbetween Lyppard and the Berkleys is fantastic - have been going for several years. Just up the road from the Leapfrog by Junction 6.

They run Wed mornings 9:30 to 11:30 and Wed afternoons 12:45 - 2:45.

Friday mornings 9:30 to 11:30.

Its only £1 for the first child and 50p for any extra children.

There are playgroups at the Lyppard Centre as well, which are run by friendly mums. But they are more expensive, and although my DD1 liked going there my DD2 doesn't, so I don't go any more.

Welcome to Worcester

Thank you all. Munchmummy - Woodgreen Church is convenient for us and it was on my "they must have a playgroup" list. Will def give it a go. Many thanks.

Just to add, the morning sessions are very busy and do fill up, so you have to be there around about 9:30. Any later than 9:45 and you may not get in.

Wed afternoon is ALOT quieter so you can turn up whatever time you like.

Hope you think its great as I do.
