When/How do i get a pre school place for my DS 3 in August?

My Ds is 3 in August and i am sure i should be doing something about getting him a pre school place although unsure what or how to do it!! Any advice?

We live in Warwickshire and i would like him to go the the local catholic school We are catholics and we are in the parish. I have tried to get in touch with them but they never seem to answer!!

go to the nursery and ask for a place in September and you will need to apply for a reseption place for him for the following september by november this year, well thats how it works in Midlands anyway

Can you find out what pre schools there are in your area?

If you do that and give them a call they will probably ask you to come in to have a look/sign your ds up.

I think you may be a bit late for this year . LEA run Preschool places would probably have been allocated by now but you are best phoning and checking, both state and private ones, for availability. Not all state schools have attached preschools but application procedures for Reception( Sept 2010 - August 2011) would start in this autumn, check the LEA website for the actual deadlines.

contact the preschool in question and ask. If you can;t get them on teh phone go and knock on teh door.
