Do I still pay for the sessions that my ds has missed due to the snow shutting the preschool?
I know if ds is off sick I do pay, and am happy doing so as they still have to suppy teachers food etc, but if it's their call to shut? Just wondered what everyone else does?

We still have to pay. I guess it is the same as me getting paid by work when I cant get in. Its annoying but thankfully doesnt happen too often!

You've also got to realise most pre-schools are run by a volunteer committee and as a charity they have just enough to keep running.
Our pre-school was only open one day last week and we had to keep shutting because a)the playleader could not even get out of her village b)the main school the pre-school was attached to was closed for 2 days last week and c)It was deemed too dangerous due to ice.
I've got another problem this coming week as it may snow on Sunday night and some weather forecasts say Monday night down south is going to be VERY stormy with possible blizzards!
I was going to go up to the pre-school today and try and shovel the snow away whilst its melting but by 4pm today its going to be rock hard again. Also go to find some grit as all the grit bins are empty!

And i don't get paid for this but our pre-school leader and staff still need paying!
