2.5 year old tripod grip

Does anyone have experience of their younger child using a tripod grip when drawing/colouring? I noticed it a little while ago but google just says it’s not expected until ages 3-4. I have an older child so I assume it is a learned behaviour, but the older one took quite a while to stop using the palmer grasp.
Just intrigued to know if anyone else has noticed this with a second or third child.

That is very early! Has DC got a dominant hand? Often hasn’t developed at this age.

I've seen a few kids manage this that early but it's not common.

My youngest has used a tripod grip since before age 2. I don’t think it’s copied i think that’s just how she instinctively used a pencil. She also had very early hand dominance, we knew not long after her first birthday that she would be left handed and she is. Early hand dominance is sometimes listed as a red flag I think because it can be indicative of a mild CP but it wasn’t in her case. She is now nearly 3 and starting to form some letters which is also very early but before I’m accused of a humble brag, it’s also become clear that she’s autistic and she is incredibly precise with her movements which I think is linked to the writing and also the autism.
