Parent helper at playgroup

DS is due to start playgroup soon, they have informed me that they run a parent helper rotation which each parents name will be regularly added to to help out with each session (fine I don't mind helping out) however I was just wondering what the rules are regarding this and pvg registration? If it's not a one off thing and each person is regularly helping should they not be registered?

What is 'pvg registration' ?

However, most places that run a parent rota wouldn't leave the person on the rota unsupervised with the children.
Most organisations don't prevent someone from helping occasionally (again, because the person wouldn't be left unsupervised).
