Birthday invitations

My DD started preschool mid term, she's made a few friends but I haven't met any of the parents yet. Her birthday is in a month and I have to decide if we do something small at home or invite the whole class (33 kids, 15-20 pounds per child at a venue). She's been invited to two parties that will happen after hers. If we go we will obviously get to know the mums there but it does feel strange to invite strangers to a birthday party, equally it doesn't feel tight to attend everyone else's without arranging something ourselves?

£660 seems a lot to me...
You could ask the teacher / staff which say 7-10 kids your DD interacts with most and just invite them to begin with

Do something small at home.

Wait until they have started school before they start inviting friends.

Generally I’d got for the whole nursery class or a small number. I’d also say that’s a lot of money a head for that age anyway!! So if you’re wedded to that venue I’d do a small set…..
or just hire a local hall and someone for an hour and do your own food for much cheaper x

That’s a huge amount of money and stress when they’re at an age that they’d be happy with a balloon and a slice of cake. I’d ask the nursery who they are closest to (2-3 kids) and invite them and a parent for a tea party one weekend afternoon.

Don't worry about a party at this age, some kids have parties others dont there's no expectation. Go along to the other parties get to know the children then do a party next year.
